For over 25 years The Salvation Army has offered care for toddlers
and school aged children in the Southside of San Antonio. Children
enrolled at the day care are 24 months to 12 years of age.
The day care literacy
curriculum is based from "The Creative
Curriculum for Preschool" which is designed to help the children
learn and practice newly acquired literacy, math, science, social
studies, arts, and technology skills, which preschool children can
and should learn.
Our Christian Curriculum
is based from "Toddlers and Twos-
Faith Play" and "Group Hands on Bible Curriculum" for
Preschool and after school children. Every week the children have
a Bible-based story and a word of faith. We work together with the
parent to teach the children cooperation, self-worth, responsibility,
trust, and to provide Christian activities as part of their education.
Transportation is available
from the following elementary schools to the Southside Child Development
Center’s after school program:
Athens Elementary, Carrillo Elementary, and Price Elementary.
Our center is monitored for safety and we work together to educate
our children and meet their needs. Nutritious meals and snacks are
served and the center is Child Care Delivery System (CCDS) approved.
We are located at:
1034 Fenfield Ave.
San Antonio, TX 78211
Monday thru Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
