Salvation Army to Host Renowned Speaker at Estate Planning Event

San Antonio, Texas (February 5, 2008) – The Salvation Army, along with Stumpf Farrimond, PC, and JP Morgan, is hosting a seminar titled, “Latest Charitable Giving Tax Strategies,” featuring Conrad Teitell, LL.B., LL.M., a nationally recognized authority on estate planning and tax strategies.

The seminar, which will be held at the Wurzbach Estate on 8542 Wurzbach Road, will begin with registration at 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7. The first session, which is geared toward professionals, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration for the second seminar, which is open to the general public, will be at 12:30 p.m., with the seminar being held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Teitell, a principal at the Connecticut and Florida-based Cummings & Lockwood law firm, has led lectures on taxes and estate planning all over the nation at various organization’s events. As an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, Teitell also teaches public speaking to other professional advisors and laypeople.

He is the founder of the American Bar Association’s (ALI/ABA’s) public speaking course, and teaches public speaking in a six-part PBS television series. Teitell also was the on-air tax adviser for the PBS series On the Money.

The author of many articles on taxes, wills and estate planning, Teitell’s work has appeared in such publications as the New York Law Journal and Trusts and Estates magazine. He is the editor and publisher of a monthly newsletter, Taxwise Giving, and has a column, Speaking and Writing, that has appeared in Journal, a publication of the American Bar Association, and TRIAL, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America magazine.

Teitell holds an LL.B. from Columbia University Law School and a LL.M. from New York University Law School.

A continental breakfast and free valet parking will be available at the seminar. Seats are limited, so preregistration is preferred.
