» Emergency Family Shelter
The emergency shelter provides free emergency housing, meals, clothing, training sessions on family management, employment, hygiene items, counseling, agency referrals and other supportive care for families. The program houses single women, single mothers or fathers with children and intact families with children for a 10-day period with opportunities of extended stay. If goals are met, participants are referred to transitional programs available.
» Transitional Living Services at Hope Center
This program is designed to help with extended days of lodging for homeless families who have proved through interview and assessment they are willing to maintain employment or education goals. Transitional services provide meals, agency referral and other supportive care for families. This Transitional Living program is housed at the Hope Center, giving similar opportunities as Home Sweet Home to break away from homelessness to a brighter future.
» Home Sweet Home Program at Hope Center
The purpose of the Home Sweet Home program is to prevent persons living in Bexar County from becoming homeless. This program assist with rent, utilities, food, job training and or job placement, agency referrals and other supportive care for participants in the program. Case management is provided along with financial help to prevent persons from becoming homeless. Applications are available at the Hope Center Emergency Shelter office.
